STPI is a creative workshop & gallery which is internationally renowned space for conceptual developments in contemporary art practice in print and paper.
Students will be guided on a 1 hour gallery tour of artist Cheong Soo Pieng's exhibition and around STPI's creative workshop space. Students will also have the opportunity to take part in a 1.5hr special hands-on workshop that will be in conjunction with the exhibition. Max. 20 students Wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty. Planet WalkStudents will capture the sights and sounds of MacRitchie Reservoir to taking in the fusion of manmade structures and Singapore's natural environment. Throughout the planet walk students will have the opportunity to complete a series of drawings and watercolor sketches.
Please bring good walking shoes, water, sunscreen, mosquito repellent and a small backpack. Sketchbooks, and watercolors will be provided, however, please feel free to bring your own. |
Gillman Barracks is a contemporary arts cluster in Singapore that is home to international art galleries, restaurants and the NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore, which are all housed in conserved colonial barracks.
Partnering with the Friends of the Museums (FOM) to complete a guided tour of the artwork highlighted at the SEA Focus fair. The guide will allow for lots of interaction as students can ask questions about the various artists and artworks exhibited. Max. 30 students African DrummingAt Lila Drums, students will view a mini performance, have hands on experiences of African drumming, learn diversities of traditional rhythms and also basic drum soloing.

This tour will give you a better understanding of Singapore's national performing arts Centre, The Esplanade — its architectural qualities together with the ethos behind the management of the arts centre and the development of the arts in Singapore.
The tour covers both front of house and backstage facilities and will also demonstrate how the facilities behind the scenes support the smooth and seamless presentations of shows. Visitors will be brought backstage around the Concert Hall and Theatre, to the orchestra pit, dressing rooms, the Green Room (artist lounge), and more. Visitors are advised to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for this tour. Students will complete a Hand Building (2hr) OR potters wheel (2.5hr) experience
